Classification and Function of Geotextile in Engineering

Filament spunbond needle-punched non-woven geotextile: Filament spunbond needle-punched nonwoven geotextile is also called polyester filament geotextile, filament geotextile, filament non-woven geotextile. Filament spunbond needle-punched nonwoven geotextile is made of polyester chips as raw material, melted at high temperature, spinning and weighing, and then processed by needle punching equipment. The product has excellent properties such as high strength, UV light resistance, high temperature resistance, creep resistance, strong permeability, and high ductility. The main functions are the filtration of dams and slope protection of water conservancy projects, the isolation of channels, and the prevention of seepage; the foundation isolation, filtration, drainage, soil slopes, retaining walls and pavement reinforcement and drainage of highways, railways and airport runways; Soft foundation treatment, reinforcement and drainage of beach dikes, harbour piers and breakwaters; isolation, reinforcement and membrane protection of landfills and tailings treatment plants. The filament spunbond needle-punched non-woven geotextile currently implements the national standard GB/T17639-2008.

Filament woven geotextile: Filament woven geotextile is also called filament woven fabric, woven geotextile, and filament woven geotextile. Filament woven geotextiles are made of high-strength industrial polypropylene, polyester, nylon and other synthetic fibers as raw materials, and are woven regularly by weaving equipment. The product has excellent properties such as high strength, low elongation, durability, corrosion resistance, and strong water permeability. The main functions are filtration, isolation, reinforcement and protection in geotechnical engineering such as rivers, coasts, harbors, highways, railways, wharfs, tunnels, and bridges. Filament woven geotextile currently implements the national standard GB/T17640-2008.

Split  woven geotextile: Split-film woven geotextile is also called woven geotextile, woven fabric, polypropylene woven fabric, PP woven fabric. Split  woven geotextile is made of polypropylene, polypropylene and polypropylene flat yarns as raw materials, and is woven by circular weaving equipment. It is composed of at least two sets of parallel yarns (or flat yarns), one set along the loom Longitudinal (the direction in which the fabric travels) is called warp, and the other horizontal arrangement is called weft. The product has excellent properties such as anti-sun, anti-ultraviolet, anti-corrosion, high strength and high stability. The split woven geotextile currently implements the national standard GB/T17641-2017.

High-strength polypropylene geotextile: High-strength polypropylene geotextile is also called polypropylene geotextile and high-strength geotextile. High-strength polypropylene geotextile is made of high-quality polypropylene as raw material and produced by needle punching equipment. The high-strength polypropylene geotextile has high strength and is mainly used for highways, high-speed railways, sliding layers, etc.
